Under the sponsorship of October 6 University, Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Tourism and the Embassy of Kuwait in Cairo, Kuwait for Peace, Egypt for Love” Tourism Festival was launched on Thursday, December 29 and lasted until December 30, 2016 at Sharm El-Sheikh, in support for Arab tourism, especially the Kuwaiti, for the various touristic attractions especially Sharm el-Sheikh.
The Festival included a side view of the Egyptian military equipments that were at the war to liberate Kuwait.
Mohammed Saleh Thuwaikh, Kuwait's Ambassador in Cairo assured the safety and security of Sharm el-Sheikh, addressing that holding such event delivers a very strong message to those who try to spread tendentious rumors about the country. The Ambassador noted that Sharm el-Sheikh has touristic edifices that accommodate more than 5 million tourists a year, and gave thanks to the executive authority in South Sinai for the success of the Festival, that support the tourism sector in Egypt and for the love of the government and people.
The University was keen on distributing a range of gifts to visitors of its pavilion at the exhibition at the end of the event at which His Excellency the Minister of Tourism, Yahya Rashid, along with Maj. Gen. Khaled Fouda, the Governor of South Sinai, and His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait and Ms. Abrar Massoud President of Future Committee and " Kuwait for Peace, Egypt for Love” Tourism Festival, handed over a shield to October 6 University, delivered by His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Kheireldin Abdellatif, Vice Chairman of the Board of trustees.
