The Faculty of Dentistry wins first place in the (IDEX Cup for top universities) competition held on the sidelines of the IDEX conference and exhibition
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Gamal Samy, President of the University and Prof. Dr. Iman El Azizi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, a team of the college’s top students participated in the IDEX Cup competition for the top universities held on the sidelines of the IDEX International Conference and Exhibition in its seventh edition at the Intercontinental City Stars Hotel from 16 18th August.
The team formed as follows: Fatima Abu Al-Wafa Ahmed Abdallah, Maryam Alaa El-Din Amer, Shehab Ahmed Sayed Nabawi Suleiman, Youssef Sabry Farouk Abdel Moaty El-Kamaty, Rawan Adel Meligy El-Sayed Odeh.
This is under the supervision of Dr. Dina Al-Kharadly, a lecturer in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and a pioneer of youth.
The competition was held with the aim of selecting honorable models to represent Egyptian universities in international competitions and was held in cooperation with the National Research Center
The competition included the participation of 25 representative teams from various governmental and private dental colleges nationwide, and it was like a theoretical exam with a multiple choice system (MCQ) in seven clinical specialties to measure the students’ comprehension of materials, namely: conservative treatment - endodontic treatment - fixed prosthodontics - removable prosthodontics - Oral and dental surgery - Pediatric dentistry - Orthodontics.
Prizes and honors for the first three places were distributed at the closing ceremony of the conference on Thursday, August 17, where October 6 University won the championship cup and a financial prize of fifty thousand pounds was distributed to the students.
