 A symposium at the Sports Club in 6th of October City entitled (Knee Osteoarthritis)

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Gamal Samy, President of the University, Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Sobhi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sports Club, supervised by Prof. Dr. Amr Nadim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, organized a community service committee headed by Prof. Dr. Azza Al-Gharib, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service Affairs, in cooperation with the Sports Club in 6th of October City, held a symposium entitled (Knee Osteoarthritis) targeting male and female members of the club. It was based in the wedding hall on the ground floor of the club. Present at the symposium was Professor Dr. Mahmoud Hafez, Head of the Orthopedic Department at the College. The dialogue was moderated by Engineer Hanan Abdel Azim from the front. Members of the club. The symposium included a simplified explanation of the disease, its causes, methods of diagnosis and treatment, and how to prevent it. The explanation was followed by an open discussion with the attendees and a response to their questions and inquiries. This symposium is the first in a series of symposiums organized by the college’s Community Service Committee to raise health awareness among club members and pioneers, out of belief in the role of the Faculty of Medicine, October 6 University. In enlightening the surrounding community.
