The Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science Symposium on Environmental Information Technology The Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science organized a symposium on Environmental Information Technology on Wednesday 30/11/2011. The symposium hosted the Dean of the faculty, Prof. Dr. Moussa Ibrahim Moussa who tackled the latest trends in environmental IT and the applicable fields. The following are some of the applications of Environmental Information Technology: - A key tool in planning, decision making and the circulation of information for the Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs and its executive body. - The preparation of digital maps: Many multi-purpose and multi-dimensional maps have been created. - Building an information system for the relief of environmental disasters. - These systems have been developed to encompass environment protection and natural reserves.
