Today, Wednesday, November 8, 2023, the Social Solidarity Unit, in cooperation with the Agency for Community Service and Environmental Development at the Faculty of Economics and Administration, represented by Prof. Dr. Suzi Rashad and the Nursing Agency, represented by Prof. Dr. Thuraya Ramadan, was honored to hold a seminar entitled "Combating Violence against Women", which was lectured by Prof. Dr. Hala Al-Hilali - Professor of Political Science, Faculty of Economics, in Hall 1124, Engineering Building, where the seminar began with a video designed by Green Group students on violence against women, followed by a lecture on "The concept of violence against women: Deliberate use of force or authority - forms of violence (individual - domestic violence - violence around the world)
- Causes of violence and how to treat it (cultural reasons - education - the way fathers deal with mothers - discrimination and segregation)
- Risk factors (low level of education)
- Why is a woman silent?
I also mentioned some examples in various Arab countries to take women's rights and the International day for the elimination of violence against women
