Faculty Departments
The Faculty of Economics and Management consists of the following departments:
- Department of Accounting
- Department of Business Administration
- Department of Economics
- Department of Political Science
Each of these departments shall teach courses that correspond to their related topics in Arabic and English. The Faculty of Economics and Management offers the Bachelor's degree in each of the departments mentioned above.
The Faculty applies the credit hour system. The academic year is divided into three sessions; the first (autumn), the second (spring), and the third (summer). This is in accordance with the provisions of the Faculty regulations and the Education and Student Affairs’ regulations. The duration of the study to obtain the bachelor's degree is four years. The student is required to pass 144 credit hours. In the first and second levels, all students are required to pass general courses in political science, economics, management and accounting. Students specialize in their desired field in the third level.
Crisis Management Committee
Crisis management is considered one of the most important requirements of quality, security and safety for the institution.
The Committee mission
to be able to face and have control over any disasters and crises that may occur.
Objectives of the Committee
1. Determine the types of crises and disasters expected and develop an action plan for each of them.
2. To evaluate the situation of the Faculty on a regular basis.
3. Develop scenarios for the disasters and crises and their potential risks, in addition, to developing strategies for dealing with these disasters and crises.
4. Coordinate with the university heads to enforce the application of action plan.
5. Train members of the committee to develop their skills in disaster and crises management.
6. Training faculty members and students on drills to perform in case of crises and disasters.
Initiating participation in the October 6 University Alumni committee
O6U Alumni Association has been declared instituted under resolution no. 3272 of 2/11/2008. The Association aims at providing the following services:
· Cultural, scientific and religious services
· Social assistance
· Strengthening cultural ties
· Training alumni in computer skills, small business enterprises and professional skills.
· Exchange in; visits, delegations, cultures and experiences between October 6 University and other universities
· Organizing Hajj and Umrah trips for members and their families
· Various employee training programs.
The requirements for joining the committee:
· members To be of good conduct and manners
· Acquisition of higher education
· To submit required application including membership fee (100 Egyptian pounds). N.B The membership fee does not give the potential participant any rights before the approval of the steering committee.
