Course Description

 - Poster Design  - 2102

-Posters play a vital role in promotion and communication media. This course will introduce students to the power of the poster which requires the knowledge of design principles, considering the internal and the external environmental effects on the poster (Designing indoor & outdoor posters, window display,  etc) - In addition to its history, its various function as a promotional design application, and the developments of its printing and production techniques.

 

- Logo Design - 2106

-Designing Logos for different fields and this is through studying different signs, drawing and symbols.

 

- Advertising Design For Mass Media (Newspaper-Television-Cinema)- 2109

-Designing Ads for the products or services through Mass Media using contemporary theories (Cinema, Television, Newspaper) .

 

- Color System For Advertising Design - 2113

-This is a theoretical and practical course examining the visual forces of color and color relationships in traditional and electronic mediums - Through knowledge of color principles, the ability to manipulate hue, value and chroma as well as the sensitivity to aesthetic and psychological qualities - The students also learns proper electronic applications of CMYK color from print and RGB color for the web and broadcast.

-Graphic Design is the translation of ideas and concepts into structural order and visual form- It is the art of books, magazines, advertising, packaging and propaganda -  This course focuses on the definition of advertising, advertising theories and goals -  Also studying the elements that make successful add and the methodology of applying the Ad. Photography developer and photosensitizes- different  chemical substances used as a photographic appearance properties- developing mechanism- light sensors- activators , accelerators ,antipogands- polyester films& it's difference from traditional films

 

 -History Of Arts - 2603-

-This second year course, introduces students to the art work and architecture of the Greek and Roman empires.

 

  - Computer - 2403 -

As a continuation of part one in this course students learn the difference between raster and vector programs by working on Photoshop and Freehand applications.

- The students learn about more modern printing techniques with emphasize on offset-printing and work on zinc-printing during their practical sessions. 

 

- Colored Photography Laboratory- 2139-01

-Studying the systems and techniques of colored photography.

 

- Production Management And Planning - 2407

-The administration and the researches of the industrial operation (the administration jobs – the decision taking – the scientific method – the operations researches) – the application of the written programming in the preparation of the production plan – the work measurement mistaken the measurement ways – the repair and the observer of the production quality ( the quality concept – the defects appearance reason – the inspection and the review of production ).

 - Still Life Drawing (Freehand Drawing) - 2306

- A continuation of part one this course continues students' practice of tone and composition - Additionally, students are required to recognize the light source and its effect on the objects in the composition - Students present color studies using pencil, watercolor and gauche.

 

- Language  - 2607 

-Cambridge- Interchange. book 2 units 9-18 - Sentences building, passages dealing with different art subjects, grammar exercises from passages related to Art.
