October 6 University takes part in Rio+20 Corporate Sustainability Forum In Rio de Janeiro-15-18 June 2012 October 6 University participated in the Rio+20 Corporate Sustainability Forum in the framework of the UN Global Compact Initiative (social responsibility of corporates). Dr. Kheiredin Abdellatif –Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees held meetings and discussions with different representatives from all over the world. While Dr. Niveine El Esawy-Assistant Professor at Business Administration, Faculty of Economics and Management, took part in the 3rd meeting ”Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME)” at the same venue. The 3rd (PRME) is the official platform for management-related Higher Education Institutions (HEIS) in both Rio+20 the UN Conference on Sustainable Development and the UN Global Compact Corporate Sustainability Forum. The meetings opened an opportunity to showcase O6U community engagement activities. Over 2700 participants from more than 100 countries took part in these meetings – approximately half from the business and investment community, and half from civil society, academia, cities, Government and the United Nations.
