Seminar on How to Use and Activate the Egyptian Knowledge Bank

October 6 University organized a seminar on how to use and activate the Egyptian Knowledge Bank on Monday 27/3/2017 in which the Chief Trainer of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, Mr. Mahmoud Dawood along with Mr. Abdullah Mahmood, Marketing Officer of the Amiral database. Dr. KheirEldin Abdellatif, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Ali Talat, Vice President of the University, Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Dulat El Meligy, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Dr. Amal Hussein Abdelkader, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Media and Mass Comm., in addition to a group of teaching staff and students,  where the contents of the Bank were presented and the way to create an account to log the bank (that includes more than one hundred international databases specialized in all aspects of science and knowledge) was displayed.
The meeting was moderated by Dr. Maurice Abou El Saad, Director of the Central Library and ended at 1:30 pm on the same day. The second meeting was held with the representatives of the other databases participating in the Bank on the following day, Tuesday 28/3/2017 at the Central Library from 10 am to 2 pm.
It is also worth mentioning that the Knowledge Bank is a great achievement aimed at putting Egypt on the path of progress and competitiveness and contributes to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development in its various economic, social, environmental, cultural and human aspects.

 

The Egyptian Knowledge Bank is the largest digital library in the world. It includes the world's largest publishing houses such as Springer Nature, Discovery, National Geographic, Cambridge, Oxford, Thomson Reuters and others. It provides multimedia in different languages, covers various disciplines and interests, serves different ages and helps develop the abilities of both students and teachers.
