In the framework of a comprehensive public awareness program under the patronage of October 6 University in order to enable young people to understand the issues and concerns of the nation, the University hosted Major General Samir Farag on 24/11/2016 on a seminar entitled "The role of Youth in Sustainable Development".
The General addressed the Egyptian military's role in protecting our nation and in sustainable development and film presentations that reflect heroic and honorable models in defense of the homeland. He also talked about the central role of youth in sustainable development in all areas of thought and creativity and hard work.
At the end of the seminar he answered questions from students and staff members that reflect a sense of nationalism, and an understanding of the challenges and risks faced by the Nation.
Major General / Samir Farag is one of distinguished public figures who held several important positions as being the Former Governor of Luxor and the Former Head of the Opera.
