Thai Universities Delegation in a visit to O6U

His Royal Highness Crown Prince of Thailand hands the Honorary Doctorate Degree of Educational Leadership and Human Resources Development to Prof. Dr. Sayed Tonsy Mahmoud, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of October 6 University In the framework of cooperation with O6U the Thai visiting delegation of 18 members headed by Mrs. Kundalee Prachimdhit Deputy Director- General of TICA of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand held talks with the President of O6U Prof. Dr. Ahmed Attia Saeda at the presence of HE the Ambassador of Thailand, other members of the Thai delegation and O6U Vice-Presidents and Deans. The two sides reviewed developments of cooperation notably in the fields of teaching faculty members exchange, student training, research and information exchange, besides cooperation in the fields of nursing, tourism and hotel industry in implementation of scientific agreements signed with three Thai universities. The two sides noted with satisfaction the activities previously undertaken by O6U in Thailand namely: the Conference on Innovation and Tourism Development, the Conference on Cultural Identity between Authenticity and Globalization, the organization of a joint scientific seminar with B.S.R.U University and the mutual training of trainees in Egyptian and Thai hotels. The Thai delegation highly commended O6U for its pioneering and leading role in private higher education in the Middle East and Africa. In recognition of his leading role and contribution His Royal Highness Crown Prince of Thailand handed Prof. Dr. Sayed Tonsy Mahmoud the Honorary Doctorate Degree of Educational Leadership and Human Resources Development conferred on him by Chiang Mai Rajabhat University at the graduation ceremony held at the University grand hall on May 6, 2010. Prof. Dr. Sayed Tonsy is the first Egyptian national ever to receive the Honorary Doctorate Degree from Thailand in higher education.
