 The Demo Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, October 6 University has organized a new training course entitled ''Topical Preparation.'' Ninety-six students of the Faculties of Pharmacy from various Egyptian universities were in attendance. The demo was designed to acquaint students with the following: First, getting introduced to all kinds of medical sunlight protection products and how to use them, and being aware of the precautions that must be known by the patient. Second, recognizing ointments that are used for different skin infections as well as recognizing different cases of skin diseases and how to deal with them. Third, learning about antibiotics in a simple way as well as learning about possible dosage for children and ways of dealing with each group. Fourth, learning how to measure blood pressure and blood sugar with various devices used for measurement. Fifth, learning about all types of insulin and learning how to determine the dose for each patient. Practicum was conducted by showing students medical prescriptions in order to teach them how to read and deal with many types of medical prescriptions. Medications were also offered to the trainees in order to familiarize them with the type of package, its price to prepare the students for the job market. In addition, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Koheel, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy - October 6 University, a Practicum Training agreement has been made for students at the Agzakhana Pharmacies Group which has 60 branches in various parts of the Republic in order to allow the practicum for the student through the training course and communicate with the labor market. The students were distributed among the branches for training in the middle of the academic year as well as for the summer vacation.

The practicum training course was held under the patronage of  the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Koheel and was organized and coordinated by:
Dr/ Haitham Galal El-Deen (An Assistant Lecturer at the Clinical Pharmacy Department).
Dr/ Khalid Elsayed Mahmoud (Demonstrator at the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy).
Dr/ Ahmed Abaas (Demonstrator at the Department of Analytical Chemistry).
