O6U Fontys University Joint Awards Distribution

    Twenty eight graduates of the O6U Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences received on October30, 2015 the Joint Awards from both O6U and the Fontys University of Applied Sciences of the Netherlands .

The celebration that took place on O6U Campus was attended by HE Gerard Steeghs, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Egypt and Fontys University representatives and project manager from both sides along with a number of students and member of the teaching faculty .

In his speech Ambassador Steeghs said he is pleased to witness the process of transition in Egypt with its ups and downs noting Egypt is moving ahead in facing huge Challenges in the fields of political and economic development adding that the Netherlands in supporting Egypt’s moves on the way of better governance in all walks of life.

On his part Prof.Ahmed Attia, O6U President thanked the Ambassador for supporting this collaborative partnership wishing more involvement in further developing and upgrading education.

It is be noted that the graduation of this first batch of graduates comes in the framework of the agreement between O6U Faculty Applied Medical Sciences and Fontys University signed in September 2011 with the following main objectives:

1.       curriculum development

2.        Professional teacher training aiming at introducing the Problem-Based Learning Methodology.

3.        Exchange of visit of teaching staff and students.

4.        Quality management.
