Under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation Professor Mona El-Halawany and as part of the Faculty scheme to further encourage young scholars and enhance academic research, the Faculty of Languages and Translation held its first seminar entitled Interdisciplinary Studies in World Literature on Thursday 8/9/2016 organized and administered by Dr. Amany El-Hefnawy (PhD). A plethora of members of staff from all academic departments presented a wide array of research papers covering poetry, short story, novel and drama among other disciplines. In attempt to bridge the gaps between the multiple disciplines, the ensuing discussions between the speakers and the attendees were enlightening, constructive and engaging. By the end of the seminar, the speakers were awarded for their academic contribution.
