 A symposium of the Arab Association for Civilization and the Islamic Arts was held on Thursday 12 October 2017 entitled "Islamic Arts and its impact on the Universality of Art" at Vip Hall, October 6 University, implementing the agreement signed between the University and the Association under the patronage of the President of the University, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts, Prof Ahmed Awad. A number of lectures were delivered at the symposium by Prof. Mohamed Zainham - Prof. Mohamed Abdel Hady - Prof. Hoda Darwish - Prof. Ali Al-Tayish and Dr. Ibrahim Badawi, in adition to Chancellor Fathy ElMal who talked about the achievements of the Association. At the end of the symposium, the lecturers and the symposium coordinator, De Halah Salah, lecturer at the Department of Interior Design and Furniture at the Faculty were awarded the University plates and certificates of appreciation.
