 Fiber optic technology is included in many infrastructure industries such as a backbone for computer networks, communication networks, the underground's information network, new city networks (Internet, communications, multimedia), surveillance cameras, airports, submarine cables, Border security and many other uses. Therefore, it requires students and graduates of the faculties of computers and information and engineering to know the fiber optic technology as it has become a requirement of the labor market.

Therefore, according to the quality policy of Faculty of Information Systems and Computer Science -  October 6 University, and its responsibilities towards its students, graduates, and civil society. The faculty has signed a protocol of cooperation with the official regional agent of Fiber Optic Association (FOA) to grant its students and graduates, and the concerned members of a civil society the certificate of:

“Certified Fiber Optic Technologist (CFOT)

Globally accredit from Fiber Optic Association (FOA), USA”

The theoretical part of the certificate will be studied within the Faculty of Information Systems and Computer Science - October 6 University by the accredited teachers of the FOA. The practical part and the international exam will be completed at the headquarters of the FOA's official regional agent.

The start date of the first session on Sunday 3/2/2019 - Deadline for registration is 20/1/2019
