 General Policies in Education

Following are the policies adopted by the Faculty to achieve its goals and objectives:

·         Tenacious adherence to the implementation of the academic reference standards.

·         Rigorous consideration of student-teacher standard ratios in relation to core learning facilities.

·         Internal and external review and assessment of academic programs and courses.

·         Promoting the use of information technology and communications in learning media and programs

·         Incubation of students showing unequivocal gift, creativity and remarkable intelligence and care.

·         Tailoring social and academic support programs to assist lower-aptitude students.

Faculty Policies:  Post Graduate Studies and Academic Research Policy

In order to achieve its strategic goals and objectives, the Faculty adopts the following policies in academic research:

-          The coordination and integration between Faculty and University efforts guided by the national plan of action for academic research.

-          Implementing a comprehensive research plans based on addressing community needs, development schemes, the latest academic endeavours and the growing need of new specialties.

-          The development and expansion of the realm of financial resources essential in funding and promoting academic research.

-          The encouragement of conducting applied academic research that tackle national and community problems.

-          The promotion of academic publishing in peer reviewed and refereed international journals of high impact factor.

-          The development and upgrading of research skills for scholars at the Faculty.

-          The documentation of Faculty's research activities and the creation and publication of research databases.

-          The encouragement of academic research partnership among various and peer specialties.

-          The expansion of the scope of academic research.

-          The exchange of research information knowledge with peer academic institutions.

-          The integration into the Faculty's general policies on teaching and on community service and environment development.

-          The expansion of educational programs and new further specialities.

-          The development of the admission policies to optimally grant students admission in the department of their choice according to the available places in the different specialities.

-          The provision of maintenance and performance check of learning facilities.

-          Prioritizing students' quality as the Faculty's core outcome.

-          Building closer rapport between students and faculty members of staff.

-          The steady increase of overall satisfaction in the educational process.

-          Undertaking continuous assessments for teaching effectiveness.

Faculty Policies:  Community Service and Environment Development

In order to achieve its strategic goals and objectives, the Faculty adopts the following policies in community service and environmental development:

-          The coordination and integration between Faculty and University efforts guided by the national plan of action for community service and environmental development.

-          The unwavering contribution to address environmental problems, and raising awareness in this respect

-          The maintenance of robust channels of communication with civil society to cater for its needs and orientations

-          The maintenance of robust channels of communication with IT firms and institutions working in the fields of computer science, IT systems and with the beneficiaries.

-          The provision of academic support and training to the environment and community parties.

-          The maintenance of robust channels of communication with alumni

-          Embracing volunteerism in community service and environment development

-          The inclusion of students, post graduate students, and members of staff and those who work in the community service activity.

-          The full adoption and support of community service and environmental activities.

-          The expansion of the scope of community service and environment development 

-          Full integration into the Faculty's general policies in education and in community service and environment development.
